Fueled by Hate

(The paper it's drawn on is actually white. I edited this for effect).
My first piece for my studio class is finally complete. The guidelines were simple: it had to be in pencil, and it had to convey contour lines. It seems like the contour line aspect wasn't shown in the piece, but instead of using very basic contour lines, I used my contour lines repeatedly thousands of times to create a form of shading to the picture (hurray for .5 lead!).

I called this piece Fueled by Hate because it helps remind me that hate can be useful if it is put towards a constructive or creative use. We all try not to be hateful or to think hateful thoughts, but there is no way around it. It is part of our nature to hate some things. Others think hate is too strong a word to use for most situations. I personally think disliking something is just hating it on a less-intense level.
I personally tend not to show my hate, because I don't want my emotions to affect those of others. I don't think it's fair to ruin other peoples' days, even if something entirely unrelated to them is angering you. So I keep my hate bottled up and wait for it to build up so much that I snap. That doesn't seem to be the mentally safe route to dealing with hatred, but I have my reasons for my actions, just as you have (or should have) reasons for yours.
